vote.graphicThe City of Milton is searching for Poll Managers, Assistant Poll Managers, and Poll Clerks for our upcoming general municipal election. Those filling these important roles should be civic-minded, dedicated individuals who enjoy working with people, are patient, take pride in their work, will take direction, and are detail-oriented. Most of all, these individuals should be eager to make a positive impact in this election and, in so doing, their community.

To serve as a poll official, you must:

  • Be a judicious, intelligent, upright citizen of the United States
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be a current Fulton County resident (or have a waiver from a neighboring county)
  • Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Have reliable transportation to and from training sessions and polling places
  • Not have any felony convictions
  • Not hold public office, be a candidate for public office, or have an immediate relative who is a candidate, and ...
  • Be able to perform duties and functions of a poll worker.

There are many benefits for those in these roles, such as:

  • Working side-by-side with fellow difference-making neighbors
  • Gaining valuable work experience that can help when applying for future jobs
  • Learning about, and participating in, a fundamental part of the democratic process, and ...
  • Serving your community.

This job pays at least $17 per hour (depending on the position the applicant is hired for as well as their experience and qualifications).

We have received an overwhelming response of those interested in being a poll worker and are no longer accepting applications for this year’s municipal election.
