Milton's Planning Commission is a seven-member advisory board that reports its findings and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council.

The Planning Commission proactively evaluates and recommends changes to subdivision regulations, zoning ordinances and zoning maps as appropriate, as well as the overall planning processes utilized in the City of Milton. The committee and City ensure any such changes are consistent with State laws.

In addition, the Planning Commission actively participates in the creation of Milton's Comprehensive Plan. Thereafter, it proactively recommends changes to that plan, as required, to keep it current with the wants and needs of the residents and property owners of Milton.

Submission guidelines and dates are available by contacting the City's Community Development Department.

The Planning Commission meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in City Hall's Council Chambers. All meetings are open to the public, and anyone is welcome to attend.
