Keith A. Carnesale in January 2024 became the Chief Judge at Milton Municipal Court, having served as an Associate Judge on the same court for the previous two years.

Carnesale has extensive experience as a government attorney as well as in private practice. After graduating with honors from Duke University and Emory University School of Law, he launched his career as a state prosecutor first with the DeKalb County Solicitor General’s Office and then the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.

For more than seven years, Carnesale worked as a prosecuting attorney specializing in high-risk victim cases, large-scale drug prosecutions, and asset forfeitures.

He then transitioned to private practice, handling a variety of criminal defense and plaintiff litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Carnesale lives in North Fulton County with his wife and two sons. On many weekends, you can find them at parks and ballfields around our region and beyond.
