Located at 1785 Dinsmore Road, the Milton City Pool was purchased in January 2018 as part of the City's larger acquisition of the former Milton Country Club. The entire property is now called Milton City Park and Preserve. The pool, which had numerous upgrades in recent years, is home to the Milton Mustang Swim Team. In season, the general public -- both those who have seasonal memberships and purchase daily passes -- can also enjoy it. The City Pool "season" runs from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.

Pool Hours

12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday from Memorial Day weekend through the start of school in Fulton County Schools.
11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
From August 5, 2024, onward, the weekday opening hours will shift to 4:30-8 p.m. The pool will remain open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends through (and including) Labor Day.
On a few days during the summer, the pool will also close early for Milton Mustangs home swim meets and a pool party.
- June 20th (Pool Closes at 3 p.m.)
- June 25th (Pool Closes at 3 p.m.)
- June 26th (Pool Closes at 4 p.m.)

Adult Swim (including Seniors aged 55 and over):

Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to noon (prior to August 5)
Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. beginning June 3rd

Pool Memberships

Pool memberships are available annually, giving you and your family members access to the pool whenever it is open. People can buy a pool pass for the 2024 season by clicking HERE, then clicking on the "Pool Passes" tab.

You'll be able to purchase a season's pass at the rates below. Note that a small processing fee will be added to these and other Pool-related transactions:

Individual Membership: $75
Senior Membership (Ages 55+): $55
Family Membership (Up to 4 members): $200
Family Membership (5 members): $250
Family Membership (6 members): $300
Family Membership (7 members): $350

The daily gate fee, the cost to use the City Pool for one day only, is $5 per Milton resident and $7.50 for non-residents (+ $1.50 transaction fee). The City of Milton's policy is to charge for every person who can walk, thus there is a cost for toddlers but none for infants. All pool payments are by credit card (and those who work at the pool do not take cash).

Rules and Precautions

As is customary, those enjoying Milton's City Pool must abide by a number of rules aimed at ensuring everyone there has a safe and enjoyable experience. These rules can be viewed HERE. Here are some of the highlights:

If you or a member of your party is not feeling well, please don’t come to the pool. This was emphasized amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but really is a best practice at all times.
Please bring your own non-alcoholic beverages. Or beverages in non-glass containers can be purchased at the nearby vending machine.
Lost and found items will be thrown away roughly 24-48 hours after being found at closing.

City Pool
- Are there lifeguards on duty at the City Pool?
  Yes, there are certified lifeguards on duty at all times when the City Pool is open to the public.
- Do you offer senior discounts?
  New for the 2019 swim season, the City of Milton is now offering a special Senior-rate pool pass for those 55 years and older ($55 per senior membership).
- Will the pool closures for the swim team be advertised on the website in advance?
  Swim team meets, pre-scheduled closures, and long-term closures will be advertised in advance on the website. However, inclement weather closures will not be made available at this time.
- What types of clothing are prohibited?
  Thong bikinis, jeans, cut-offs, jean skirts, lingerie, underwear, boxer shorts, basketball/gym shorts, and disposable diapers (adult & children).
- Do the bathrooms offer inside shower facilities?
  The bathrooms do not include full-service showers, but there are outdoor rinsing showers available.
- Are there baby changing tables in both the women’s and men’s bathrooms?
  Yes, both the women's and men's restrooms have changing tables.
- Are babies required to wear a swim diaper plus a plastic pants?
  Children who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper, covered by a plastic/vinyl pants under a swim suit/trunks.
- Does Milton have a children’s splash pad?
  No, there isn’t a flat surface splash pad at Milton's City Pool. But there is a zero-entry kiddie pool (0 to 1.5 ft) that includes a spraying-water feature and should be easily accessible for any walking child.
- Is there a kiddie pool?
  Yes, there is. Please see the question immediately above for details.
- Is the use of alcoholic beverages permitted at the Milton City Pool?
  Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
- How old must children be to swim without an adult?
  Children 13 years and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult 18 years or older wearing a swim suit. Guests 14 years and older may swim without an adult present.
- Does a daily gate fee allow re-entry within the same day?
  Yes, provided that you have your daily wrist-band on. Lost bands will not be replaced and you will be required to pay the $5.00 gate fee to re-enter.
- Can season pass holders rent or use the pool for private events?
  No, the pool cannot be rented for private events. However, groups of eight people or larger (e.g. pre-school classes, summer camps, sports teams) may request to attend the pool as a group outing. Advance notice of the request must be submitted 15 days or more before the event date, and group use may be subject to increased rates and lifeguard coverage.
- How many guests are permitted per household/season pass?
  Guest passes are not offered with season passes. Guests of season pass holders pay the daily gate rate per guest.
- Is the pool chlorine or salt water?
  The Milton City Pool is a chlorinated pool.
