The Traffic Unit is part of the Milton Police Department's Uniform Patrol Division. While all officers have the ability to address violations on Milton's roads, this is the primary focus on the Traffic Unit. These officers spend time all around the city looking for ways to enhance safety, which can involve issuing warnings or citations for speeding and other violations.s

Members of the Traffic Unit also further this overall goal in other ways as well. This includes public education efforts and the Alive at 25 program aimed at drivers in their late teens and early 20s. Sgt. James Hickerson oversees Milton's Traffic Unit.

If you suspect a traffic-related violation, you can call 911 if it's an emergency, call Milton's non-emergency dispatch number at 678-297-6300, or file a complaint through the City's SeeClickFix program. This is accessible online or wherever you get your phone appications. These are the relevant SeeClickFix categories:

Generally, if you have questions or want to share information about Police-related traffic matters (as opposed to Public Works-related, which is more about roadway design) in Milton, email Sgt. Hickerson at james.hickerson@miltonga.gov.
