A subdivision of the Office of the Police Chief, the Milton Police Department's Office of Professional Standards handles a number of specific important responsibilities and tasks.
These include:
- HIRING -- which involves bringing aboard the right mix of new officers who will serve in the department and serve the people of Milton
- INTERNAL AFFAIRS -- which exists within most law enforcement agencies to investigate allegations of misconduct and other issues by department members
- TRAINING -- which is all about ensuring the department's officers have access, and take, courses and other available training to ensure they have the knowledge to do their jobs as best as possible
Lt. Andrew Noblett oversees hiring and internal affairs for the Milton Police Department. Officer Rudolf Cabral serves as MPD's Training Coordinator.
