Milton's Special Events and Community Outreach Team takes pride in building strong relationships within the City. Connecting members of the community to one another is what we do.

On January 29, 2020, the Mayor, City Council, City of Milton staff and first responders, among other public figures in the community, were graciously invited to attend Summit Hill Elementary School's "Kindness Tunnel" at 8:00 a.m.

Ruth Bowen, Counselor at SHES, reached out to our team and her enthusiasm was infectious! The staff at Summit Hill had been working hard with the students to create banners and signs that they used to decorate the hallway to create their "tunnel" which lined the halls.

The cheerful students waved and thanked guests and gave high fives to various members of their community! It was a fun morning for all of us at the City and it's unclear who, the Council members and staff or the students, enjoyed it more!

Guests ended the walk in the cafeteria where light refreshments and coffee was available before we headed back to work. What a way to start the day!

The City of Milton loves engaging with different groups throughout the community. If you'd like to discuss an outreach opportunity with our team please contact us! We'd love to hear from you.
