The City of Milton was incorporated on December 1, 2006 -- about 11 months after State Rep. Jan Jones introduced a bill in the state legislature to create the new City, and just over four months after 85 percent of residents voted in favor of forming Milton. At the time of its founding, the City adopted Fulton County ordinances and its then limited staff worked out of rented spaces. Since then, Milton has continually shaped its identity -- including creating and retooling its own City Code, developing its own programs and moving into City-owned properties such as its one-of-a-kind City Hall, which opened in 2017.

In this section of the website, you will find information about all aspects of Milton's City government. Please click on the links to each Department to the left to learn more. And below you will find staff contacts for employees who work out of City Hall.
