Stretching from the Roswell/Alpharetta line to Cherokee County, Arnold Mill Road – and the area surrounding it – is an important, picturesque, and unique corridor in southwest Milton. The City is working to craft a long-term vision for this area that acknowledges what makes it special, explores what uses best fit this area, and takes into account citizens’ feedback.
On Monday, the City Council approved an agreement with TSW to partner with the City on creating what’s called a Small Area Plan for Arnold Mill. This project team will tackle a lot of things such as assessing existing conditions, developing concept plans laying out a vision for the area, and drafting policies and guidelines to help realize that vision.
And one of its most important charges will be engaging citizens through public workshops, stakeholder interviews, and more.
On Wednesday, the City released the first public phase in this effort – a dedicated webpage, which you can access at www.miltonga.gov/ArnoldMill.
Over the coming months, this webpage will feature details on related public events, documents, video links, and more in addition to answers to pertinent questions. The City will also update people via the City's Facebook page and through City emails (which you can sign-up for at www.miltonga.gov/Emails.)
