The first milestone in the City of Milton’s annual property tax billing process came on October 19, when the bills went in the mail.
The next one falls exactly two months later, on December 19 – when City property taxes are due.
It’s possible that your bill may have gotten lost in the mail (it happens!) or lost in your house (which also happens!). You’ll be fine regardless! Any property owner can access their property tax bill via this webpage:
https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/miltonga.
As to paying it, there are a few options. One is online via the link above; just click where it states “Pay Property Taxes Now,” then fill in your parcel number (make sure a space follows the first two digits before the dash) or your house number in the appropriate fields. There’s a 3% fee when you use a credit card to pay (via the website or in person), or $1.75 with an eCheck.
There won’t be any additional fees, though, if you send in your tax payment by mail (sending it to Milton City Hall, 2006 Heritage Walk, Milton, GA 30004, ATTN: Property Taxes) or bring it directly to City Hall during normal business hours. Please keep in mind if you do not meet the December 19 deadline, monthly interest will be charged and calculated at one twelfth (1/12) of the bank prime loan rate plus 3 percent.
