The City and its project team invites all those who care about the future of Deerfield to our next "Open House" event on Thursday, December 11.
This engagement event marks the latest of several initiatives aimed at giving citizens ample opportunities to share their thoughts on the look and feel of Deerfield, a section of southeast Milton that includes what's around Highway 9, Windward Parkway, Webb Road, Deerfield Parkway, and that general vicinity. It follows extensive in-person and online outreach this fall in which people weighed in on what architectural styles, amenities, cultural elements, "play" options, and more they liked (or didn't like) for this area.
The December 11 "Open House" -- which will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Milton's courtroom, which is in the back building of the Public Safety Complex (the same one containing the Milton Police Department) -- will continue that progression. Team members will share updates on what's happened to date, then welcome citizens to ask questions and share their opinions, including on what's in an "Urban Design Manual" for Deerfield. This manual will guide developers on what the Milton community wants to see, and do, in this area. And all this input will feed into the more far-reaching, community-driven Deerfield Implementation Plan that should be finalized next year.
