The City Clerk is the City of Milton's official record-keeper, among other important duties. They are appointed by the Mayor and City Council members.

Responsibilities of the City Clerk’s Office include:

  • Recording and maintaining the City Council's official actions in "minutes"
  • Coordinating and distributing meeting agendas
  • Maintaining contracts, ordinances, resolutions, proclamations and agreements
  • Coordinating the records management and retention program for the City

The City Clerk oversees the adoption and publishing of the Code of Ordinances and facilitates the City of Milton's Municipal Elections, working closely with the Fulton County Registration & Elections Office.

Spring Gardening Series - 3rd of 3 classes

garden tool shed The City of Milton is again partnering with the North Fulton Master Gardeners non-profit to offer community gardening classes. This is an opportunity for the Master Gardeners, with support from University of Georgia Extension experts, to spread the good word about understanding and supporting the success of plants. And it’s a way for the City to help keep Milton green, echo its Plant! Milton tree-nurturing initiative, and provide citizens with a valuable, sought-after program.

Three classes will be held between 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Community Center in Milton City Park and Preserve (1785 Dinsmore Road). The third will be on March 1, with a focus on:

  • Tool Talk
  • Getting Your Plants Home
