Trail Mix Hike

Head down to Providence Park for a nice hike, a healthy treat, and good company.

From 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, all are welcome to join a special trek up and down the parks 0.75-mile long, natural surface Blue Trail. (Note: This had originally been scheduled for Saturday, May 18, only to be postponed due to the threat of thunderstorms.)

By special, we mean it’s a Trail Mix Hike. So along the way, you can pick up trail mix ingredients like granola, raisins, candy, and more. Once you’ve finished, your bag should be full – and your tummy can be full soon after that.

This is a self-guided hike in that you can drop in anytime and walk on your own. Still, Milton Parks and Recreation team members will be on-hand throughout the hike to assist as needed (and check on the trail mix supplies).

It’s open to people of all ages; dogs are welcome, too, if they’re leashed. Younger hikers can go home, too, with a Junior Rangers Guide (which you can find online here: https://www.miltonga.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/7531/638482636221530000).

The Trail Mix Hike is entirely free. Still, to help with preparations, we’re asking folks to preregister. You can do so by going to www.miltonga.gov/Registration, clicking on the “Outdoor Recreation” tab, then clicking on “Hiking.”
